2026 Workshops:

Workshops are full length or multi-day classes where participants are given demonstrations
on the topic followed by an extended hands-on work session under my guidance.

Introduction to Custom Digital Negatives and Cyanotype Printing: Saturday, February 7-8, 2026: 10am–4pm
An instructional on the workflow for making custom digital negative curves for Alternative Processes and an introduction to the Cyanotype technique, a historic photo process known for its rich blue color.

Photogenic Drawings on Salted Paper: Saturday, March 7, 2026: 10am-4pm
This beginner level workshop introduces the basics of salt printing, one of the earliest photographic processes from the 1830s, through cameraless image making with organic subject matter.

Cyanotype Variations: Saturday April 11-12, 2026: 10am-4pm
An intermediate workshop on variations of the traditional Cyanotype process including toning, printing on fabric, and creating multi-process prints incorporating standard cyanotype chemistry with other modes of alternative process printing.

Chemigrams: May 16, 2026: 10am-4pm
A hands-on workshop exploring cameraless photography made by applying photographic chemistry directly to paper where chance, process, and creative play guide the image.

Wet Cyanotype Summer Solstice Event: June 20, 2026: 3pm-7pm
Participants will learn how to combine traditional cyanotype printing with the “wet” technique—incorporating elements like natural pigments and additives and organic textures to create unique, cameraless images.
The event will conclude with refreshments and a toast to the coming of summer!
